Welcome to
Thundridge Preschool

Hello

Welcome to Thundridge Preschool, in the village of Thundridge, just north of Ware. We are based in the Norman Wodson Pavilion, surrounded by farmland but still just minutes from Hertford and Ware.

Thundridge Preschool provides Preschool and Nursery Class places for children aged two and over, and are open to children from Thundridge, Wadesmill and surrounding villages and towns. We offer 15 and 30 hours funding for eligible children.

At Thundridge Preschool, we are dedicated to providing the children in our care with a strong foundation for life, and believe that a quality Early Years education provides children with the best opportunity to achieve their full potential both while at the Nursery and in their futures.

We focus on nurturing and developing the individual talents inherent in each child which in turn allows them to develop their own self-confidence. We encourage and reward children’s willingness to try new things, to question their knowledge and abilities and more importantly to feel pride in their attempts and to develop an ability to learn from their failures. This approach allows children to develop an analytical mind and build the confidence needed in order to be able to make their own decisions and judgements.

About Us

Thundridge Preschool was founded by Natasha, a qualified primary school teacher who has been teaching since 2005 and managing Early Years settings since 2014.

Her settings have achieved at least a 'Good' Ofsted rating at every inspection. She is very experienced in supporting children with additional needs, including applying for EHCPs, and is qualified to support children with Speech and Language delays.

Natasha lives in Thundridge, her children attended the preschool previously on this site, and then Thundridge Primary School. She is passionate about making Thundridge Preschool an asset to to the local community and part of village life.

Our Community

There is a lovely African proverb: 'It takes a village to raise a child.' We recognise that supporting children to grow into adults who contribute positively to the community is a shared responsibility, and should not just be left to parents to struggle through alone. We feel it is important to be a part of the local community, to join in, help out, and support our children, their families, and the wider community where we can.

We have links to Thundridge Primary School, who have recently federated with Tonwell St Mary's School.

We aim to build further links with our community in Thundridge as soon as we can, please contact us with any opportunities to support us with this.
